About me

From a young age I always enjoyed being creative. My creativity lead me to want to be a fashion designer when I grew up and I was so dead set on fashion (as dead set as a 10 year old could be) that I didn't even look around for other options. That is until I watched a episode of Color Splash on HGTV. The host, David Bromstad, was so captivating to me the way he would walk through a room and be able to analyze how to make it better. Then there was his designs. The amount of color and risks he took amazed me, and as someone who enjoyed painting, seeing him paint a piece of art for each house he worked in, made it even better. I then realized interior design was what I wanted to do when I "grew up".

As I got older and going from being in middle school in Texas to high school in Alabama, art classes were a constant for me. Once I was a junior is high school and people started to ask the question, "What do you want to do after high school?" and "What do you want to do with your life?", it was always easy for me to answer with, "I want to be a interior designer."

Now in college at the University of Wisconsin - Stout, I find my love for design has not changed, but has grown. I think one of my favorite things is to see how universal design is, but how different it is interpreted even in just a different state. I realize I still have so much to learn, but I look forward to doing it!

Thank you for taking a look at my work and I hope you enjoyed it!
